The coming summer will bring many troubles to your skin . On hot days, you tend to want to drink a glass of cold water or a cool drink to quench your thirst. But do you have any plans for your skin?
The summer heat will affect your skin in a number of ways, and to protect your skin from harsh sunlight, you need a cooling mask . Experts have suggested some masks that are easy to make at home to support our skin health even in the harsh summer .
1. Effect of cooling mask
The cooling mask will help you get rid of your tan. These masks are very suitable for skin that lacks water and leads to excessive oil secretion. They will fight sun damage and protect your skin from UV rays. Cooling masks are great for dry and dull skin as they will also help moisturize and brighten the skin.
If your skin is irritated and red due to heat, a cooling mask will also help you solve this problem. The mask also helps to remove dirt and sweat from the skin.
1.1 Aloe vera and lemon juice mask
Lemon juice effectively removes oil while providing a fresh scent to the skin , while aloe vera moisturizes the skin. To make this mask quickly , take 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel and add 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice. Mix both ingredients to form a thick mixture . Cover your face with this mixture and wash off after 20 minutes.
1.2 Cucumber and watermelon mask
Both cucumbers and watermelons are sources of high water content that can keep your skin hydrated, moisturized , free of dirt, and keep your skin cool and fresh. To make this mask, take cucumber juice (or pulp) and watermelon flesh , mix them with two teaspoons of milk powder and one egg white. You can put the ingredients in a blender and puree. Then, apply this mixture on your face and neck area , rinse with water after half an hour.
1.3 Mint and multani mitti mask (a special type of clay – quite popular ingredient in beauty)
Mint has cooling properties that help soothe irritated skin , while multani mitti will remove excess oil from the skin. From getting smooth and supple skin, to reducing all those dark spots and uneven skin tone, multani mitti has it all. It is also known to be an excellent skin cleanser, helping to clear away all the dirt and dead cells that accumulate on the skin due to sun exposure and pollution.
How to do: Take a bunch of mint leaves, wash them and grind them into a thick mixture. Take half a cup of multani mitti and add mint to it to make a paste. Apply this mixture on the face and neck area , wash off when dry.
1.4 Fruit mask
To make this mask, take fruits such as bananas, apples, papaya, watermelon , oranges,… mix them together and then apply on your face. Keep it for 20-30 minutes. Papaya is rich in enzymes and helps remove dead skin cells, bananas firm the skin and apples contain pectin which helps clear the skin. Oranges are rich in vitamin C which helps restore the acid-alkaline balance in the skin .
1.5 Rose water and sandalwood
Sandalwood is an age-old Indian remedy to cool the skin and give it a glow. Rose water brings refreshment to the skin . How to make this mask is very simple: take 2 spoons of pure sandalwood powder and create a thick mixture by adding rose water to it. Adjust consistency and apply to face for instant cooling while revitalizing dull skin.
