Your nose has bony structures called nasal peduncles that purify and warm air to body temperature before it enters the lungs.
Therefore, the air you breathe through your mouth will be drier and colder, which can cause sore throat and pneumonia.

Mouth breathing affects oral health as follows:

  1. Causes dry mouth and bad breath: If you often breathe through your mouth, you may notice a feeling of dry mouth and dry throat leading to halitosis and other dental problems.
